From the first time I felt OmShi’s touch, I knew I was in the hands of a very special person. Having had hundreds of massages, body work, adjustments, and spa treatments over the past 30 years, I can truly say that OmShi’ is at the top of her profession. She can pinpoint one specific area and help it begin to heal, or put you into the most deeply relaxed state you will ever experience. She has the gift.

Cancer and Massage Therapy
“Patients with cancer who received massage therapy reported reductions in pain and nausea.”
Patients with cancer reported relief from pain and nausea with simple foot massage in this research study.
METHODS: This article describes the findings of an empirical study on the use of foot massage as a nursing intervention in patients hospitalized with cancer.
RESULTS: In a sample of 87 subjects, a 10-minute foot massage (5 minutes per foot) was found to reduce perceptions of pain, nausea, and relaxation when measured with a visual analog scale.

Cancer and Massage Therapy
“Hospitalized patients receiving cancer treatment experienced improved sleep and reduced pain when provided with massage therapy vs. those who received standard nursing intervention.”
In this research report on massage therapy and cancer, patients who were undergoing cancer treatment in a hospital setting reported improvements in sleep and pain reduction compared to people who received only nursing interaction.
METHOD: To examine the effects of therapeutic massage on perception of pain, subjective sleep quality, symptom distress, and anxiety in patients hospitalized for treatment of cancer, twenty participants received therapeutic massage and 21 received the control therapy, nurse interaction.
RESULTS: Mean scores for pain, sleep quality, symptom distress, and anxiety improved from baseline for the subjects who received therapeutic massage; only anxiety improved from baseline for participants in the comparison group. Sleep improved only slightly for the participants receiving massage, but it deteriorated significantly for those in the control group.

Omshi’ is the most spiritually gifted healer and teacher I have ever encountered. She came to my wife and me first to give us massage and we were astounded at her level of ability in this area and the unmistakable spiritual healing that took place as well.
